The “clash of cultures” motif is the most quintessential aspect of Alfredo Gálvez Suárez’s work. Staircase B is embellished with two murals honoring literature. To honor Spanish literature, he portrayed Don Quixote of La Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes with the mural titled “The Quixote”, and next to it, in the mural titled “The Message” the portrayal of an excerpt in the Sacred Book of the Mayans: The Popol Vuh.
