The Monument “Guatemala, Luz de las Naciones” (Guatemala, Light of the Nations) is a sculpture that is located within the Patio de la Vida. It is comprised of a world globe wherein the American Continent is highlighted. At the center, one can see Guatemala, and therein is an ever-working beam of shining light. This represents Guatemala as the “Pro-life Capital of Ibero-America”. Said monument was unveiled on March 9, 2022 when this date was declared as the Day for Life and the Family.

The sculpture is a call for reflection and action, of protecting and promoting life and the family, in Guatemala and the continent as a whole.
