The columns are architectural elements present throughout the National Palace of Culture and they are just as functional as they are decorative. Some depict two Spanish knights with a medieval shield in between them, while others highlight floral details made with plaster.

The ornamental elements go all the way up to the ceiling, wherein the wooden beams are made with heraldry and floral motifs. The corbels are embellished with coats of arms and commemorative dates of the History of the country made in a polychrome style.
