Welcome to the National Palace of Culture, one of the most representative buildings in the Historic Center of Guatemala City. This architectural wonder was built with the efforts of several representatives of Guatemalan artistry such as Alfredo Gálvez Suárez, Rodolfo Galeotti Torres, Dagoberto Vázquez, and Julio Urruela.
Its construction started in 1939, and it was finally inaugurated on November 10, 1943, under the administration of Jorge Ubico. The architect in charge of the construction was Rafael Pérez de Leon. The building occupies the whole block and boasts dimensions of 95,691 square feet and is 98 feet tall.
